Under IMO Regulations, bilge water must be discharged through USCG approved Oil Water Separators which must also have an approve Oil Content Monitor (OCM). During the required annual inspection, acceptable performance of the separator system must be exhibited. Good performance of this equipment is usually simulated using a built-in self-test feature of the OCM. Most important to the inspectors' acceptance of the equipment is a well-maintained Oil Content Monitor. The OCM is the monitoring device that approves or rejects the overboard-effluent quality.
Advanced Pollution Control Technology is now equipped to repair and calibrate Oil Content Monitors.
- A written estimate, if requested, will be provided for your approval before repair work begins.
- Cleaning, testing and calibration are usually completed within 24 hours.
- After calibration, the unit is returned with a test certificate detailing results.
